Responsibility for the Group involving 5 subsidiaries in 6 countries, for all aspects of Accounting and Financial reporting of the (German GAAP and IFRS), all statutory compliance, Financial planning, taxes, cash & banking, risk management & insurance, accounts receivable & billing, accounts payable and managing setup/ development of new ventures and shared service centres. ØAssessed and centralized finance organization to support the company’s initiatives, this included head count reductionby over 20% that were cost effective, yet increased the productivity
ØCentralisation and outsourcing ofthe Finance, Accounts and Controlling Activities and setting up of an offsite shared services centre, leading to significant cost reduction.
ØRecommended and implemented various cost effective capital structuring and financing options to enable successful debt reduction by 30 mio€
ØFinancing and controlling of 25 mio€ investment for relocation to Eastern Europe.
ØWorked with various businesses and functions to setup policies and procedures to successfully manage internal audit in the first year of the restructured organization.
ØTurned around the company from a sick company (~ Chapter 11) into a profitable company
