Kevin W. Gisi is a student at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, studying computer science and music. He also works as a student web and application developer for the Learning and Technology Services department on campus — primarily as a Ruby on Rails developer. Kevin also works as a freelance developer and piano accompanist, and is active in the Eau Claire community. Kevin is one of the co-founders of the Eau Claire Ruby User Group, and currently sits on the board of directors for the Chippewa Valley Theatre Guild. The Rails Rumble 2008 “Most Innovative” award was given to Kevin for his submission of a 48-hour Rails website – http://www.so2speak.net, which focused on improving web accessibility for visually impaired users. Additionally, Kevin is writing a book for the Pragmatic Programmers on Firefox extension development.
