Work in IBM involved designing,developing and maintaining software applications. Create software specifications,test plans and code review. Provide inputs in improving and implementing business processes and support troubleshooting technical issues.

  • Worked for client "OTIS Elevators" at a client location for project "eLogistics" which was chosen as a case study  named "OTIS Elevator: Accelerating Business Transformation with IT"  by Harvard Business school's Prof. F. Warren McFarlan, Brian J. Delacey.
  • Developed software programs using VB.NET(mainly), ASP.NET for eLogistics for Sales Force Automation module.
  • Designed and deployed objects in SQL Server 2005 databases.
  • Worked on advanced concepts in SQL Server 2005 like SQL Server Integration Service(SSIS).
  • Designed and developed an innovative way to delete unused data on database servers at periodic times using a windows scheduler.
  • Created and executed test cases for integration testing using both black box and white box testing methodologies.
  • Participated in team meetings in understanding the business requirements, domain knowledge and operational needs of clients.
  • Participated in team meetings regarding improving the software development processes using code review,peer reviews,etc.

  • Applied AJAX principles for redesign of CIM(Collaborative Information Manager) to enhance its performance.
  • Responsibilities included writing Java code to talk to database and writing code in TIBCO GI for design of front end using AJAX Principles.
  • Designed and executed test cases for testing.
  • Server load was reduced and page response time was also reduced by 50 times and data flow across network was also reduced.
  • Developed a module for embedding General Interface(Application for developing Rich Internet Applications(RIA) into heavy enterprise applications.
  • Received recognition from TIBCO as best intern project.
  • Project was continued for further full fledged development due to prominent results obtained during the project.

  • Collect Bluetooth and WiFi traces and analyze them using a parser written in C++ to understand user mobility and their encounters with each other and use this encounter  information in delay tolerant networks (DTN’s).

  • Developed a database holding complete information about criminals.
  • SQL Loader in Oracle 9i was used to store and retrieve the images of Photographs using BLOB and CLOB as datatypes in Oracle 9i.
