General Manager

AWN, Inc.

My job at AWN was to be the be-all and do-all of the company.  I was General Manager there and managed the staff and the office.  I was the social networking nexxus of the company, negotiated partnership exchanges with various events  and conventions, maintained databases, put  up online ads, assessed traffic analytics, got the bills paid, kept equipment  in running order, made sure the staff was happy and well fed, constantly read and researched new business opportunities, watched for new media and internet trends, attended industry events, preached the gospel of AWN, searched the site to find errors or broken links, consistently updated the site,  sent leads to Biz Dev, sent news to Editorial and worked long, long  hours.  I loved the varied challenges  and the fast pace.

Executive Assistant to the SVP & CFO Broadcasting

http://www.abc.com

My position at ABC was a challenging one that I loved.  My supervisor worked between New York and Burbank and maintained long hours and a brutal travel schedule.  While she was in NYC, we worked together well on two time zones, which meant I was in the office extremely early each morning to beat the three hour difference.  She worked late and we often put in 12- hour days.  I also supported the VP of IT, the Director of Finance and occasionally supported the visiting Present of ABC when he was in Burbank.  My job was always busy with no downtime.  I organized meetings, planned intense travel itineraries, worked on Captial Budget, researched the financials of companies for potential acquisition.  My  job required a lot of reading of business and financial trades as well as the TV business.
