About Me

Dr. Gina Hitchcock, owner of Swan Family Dental in Calistoga, California, has been enhancing the dental health of Northern California customers since 2000. Focusing on patient comfort and prevention, Dr. Hitchcock performs cleaning and preventive care for children and adults. Understanding the importance of early dental care, she offers free checkups and advice for all children under two years old. Dr. Gina Hitchcock also executes cosmetic dental procedures such as colored fillings, implants, partial and full dentures, and veneers. Prior to launching Swan Family Dental, Dr. Gina Hitchcock served nine years as a dentist in the United States Navy. Stationed in the United States and La Maddalena, Italy, Dr. Hitchcock served various military locations around the world. Leaving the Navy in 1999 to marry and raise a family, Dr. Gina Hitchcock was honorably discharged with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. In addition to her current occupation with Swan Family Dental, Dr. Gina Hitchcock volunteers for a number of charitable organizations. Helping people in Mexico and Central America without access to health care, she has traveled to northern Mexico and El Salvador with The Flying Doctors (Los MĂ©dicos Voladores). As President of Friends of the Saint Helena Public Library, Dr. Gina Hitchcock oversees the independent support group, which raises funds for the library. Through the efforts of Friends of the Saint Helena Public Library, the Library is able to stage summer reading for kids, programs for adults, and repairs for equipment. As a Board member of the Saint Helena Public Schools Foundation, Dr. Gina Hitchcock raises funds to benefit local schools, as well. In an effort to protect natural resources, Dr. Gina Hitchcock is the Chair of the Sierra Club Outings Committee. Working as the outdoor activities division of the Sierra Club, she and other Committee members lead hikes and support education about the environment.
