Reporting directly to the Head of IT within the EMEA locations, my contract duties consist of assuring a transparent and smooth migration from Ericsson IT infrastructure to HCL Technologies Infrastructure. This also includes managing the entire new IT infrastructure and providing IT support to over 170 users and 300 machines/servers in various technical issues while maintaining the consistency, availability and performance of IT resources. I also deal with the concern of guarantying Italian site connectivity with other HCL sites across the globe to assure access to the company shared and collaborative resources. Among others, my technical tasks consist of implementing,  administrating and maintaining the following:

  • File Server, Backup Server, License Server, Printing Server, internal FTP and HTTP Servers 
  • Network and Systems administration troubleshooting
  • WDS images using Microsoft  SCCM, Active Directory and GPO maintenance 
  • Guarantying the effective functionalities and high performance of Labs from IT prospective
  • Single point of contact for all IT issues in HCL Italy and
  • Represent overall Information Technology in Italy on behalf of the EMEA IT operations and global IT services in general, this includes but not limited to acting as the overall project manager for any/all IT projects
