Dancer and Actress Gilda Mullette studied dance at the prestigious Julliard School and the New York City Ballet. She began her career at an early age, earning a scholarship to the American Ballet Theatre when she was a teenager. Traveling abroad, she trained at the Royal Ballet in London, and she studied under Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, and Sandy Meisner. Throughout her career, Gilda Mullette has worked with a number of notable actors and composers, including Leonard Bernstein, Richard Rogers, Marlon Brando, Harvey Keitel, and Aaron Copeland. She also worked with comedians, including Dudley Moore, John Belushi, and Gilda Ratner. Gilda Mullette is an accomplished stage and film actress, having appeared in venues around the world, including in France, England, Italy, Russia, and Monaco. She was recruited by Richard Rogers and Agnes de Mill to appear in the Lincoln Center productions of Carousel and Oklahoma. In addition to her professional work, Gilda Mullette has also taught the arts, teaching students ballet, jazz, performance techniques, choreography, and injury prevention at the college and high school levels. She maintains memberships with several professional organizations, including the Screen Actors Guild, the American Guild of Musical Artists, and the American Guild of Variety Artists. In addition to her work in theater and film, Gilda Mullette enjoys a number of hobbies, including the culinary arts. She enjoys cooking vegetables and Indian, Thai, Italian, and French cuisine. She likes to grow her own produce in her garden, where she also cultivates roses. Gilda Mullette is musical, as well, playing the piano and the flute, with a particular interest in the American Indian flute.
