Human Resource Manager
- Provide support, guidance and advice to management concerning labor issues. Determined appropriate grievance procedures relief; resolve labor disputes, decreased the number of labor disputes from previous year, from 32 to 2.
- Responsible for Human Resources data entry and tracking of Peoplesoft and Kronos systems.
- Intern-multi plant Human Resources Plant responsibility (Belviderre IL. and Detroit MI).
- Negotiation problem solving and strengthen relationship with UAW representative. Negotiated successfully 5 year contract agreement and plant closure agreement.
- Identifying continues improvement supervisory methods.
- Handle problematical issues policy, procedures and processes (hiring and terminations).
- Hire, supervise and provide performance feedback on Human Resources support staff.
- Manage Workers’ compensation cases and costs by aggressively improving safety culture and safety/loss prevention programs. Conduct environmental health/safety audits and corrective action processes.
- Strategic planning of manpower in business operation reduction (layoffs)
- Manage Short Term and Long Term disability claims with third party certification
- Manage Unemployment claims and disputes.
- Analyze HR metrics and create and implement action plans and team goals based on those metrics.
