I have numerous interests and hobbies to keep myself sane, humble and occupied. Here are just a few highlights:

I love reading, writing and drawing; listening to all kinds of music (from blues, bluegrass, ska, punk, etc, to anything that is challenging, subversive or rhythmically experimental); playing bass guitar (band experience ranges from frenetic adolescent punk rock, to indie-jazz-hop, to high-wailing lonesome-rattling foot-stompin' bluegrass); collecting comic books (cartoons, comix, illustrated novels, sequential graphic literature- funnybooks, basically).

As far as physical activity goes, I enjoy running, jumping and tomfoolery. I am currently studying shaolin quan at the International Kim Loong Wushu Centre (www.kimloong.org) under the tutelage of Shirfu/Dr. Jeff Lan. I also enjoy long, rambling hikes and have completed the Amathole Trail two years in a row ('08,'09).
