Ms. Simpson is an award-winning novelist, Pulitzer Prize competitor, retired professional ghostwriter, screenwriter, and blogger.
Today, Ms. Simpson has just completed her latest literary effort entitled, “ELLIPSIS, a collection of Essays and Short Stories…” and is garnering impressive reviews from readers and writers alike. Her previous work, “The Mango Tree Café, Loi Kroh Road,” with co-author Alan Solomon earned the authors an award at the 2008 Indie Book Awards, competed for a Pulitzer Prize, and was shown at the International Book fair in Beijing, China. Simpson’s literary credits include garnering attention from a Project Greenlight critic and being featured at the Southern Festival of Books in 2002
Additionally, Taryn has enjoyed success as a classically trained musician where she performed with various orchestras and artists such as The Tonight Show's Doc Severinson. Simpson was accepted to the University of Texas at Arlington at the age of 12, and was chosen to participate in a master class with famed marimbist Leigh Howard Stevens. She also auditioned at the Juilliard School in New York City at the age of 17. She holds a Bachelor of Music and credits her musical creativity as a stepping stone to her successful writing career
