Contract Documentation Analyst

This is a contract/project-based position with the Bank of the Philippine Islands. My job is to provide one standard set of Policies and Procedures Manual that will identify the documentation and tools that define the Systems Development Life Cycle for the IS Division including: processes, activities, roles and responsibilities, workflows, work products, and support documents necessary to complete the application system requirements definition, design, development, testing, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance services; and to ensure that the principles are consistently and effectively applied in executing the activities in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.

  • Performed intensive study on business and technology development and trends.
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements specification, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
  • Critically evaluated information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
  • Developed policies and procedures according to standard templates, using natural language.

  • Maintained and wrote new sections of users manuals and application administration; and installation documentation to solve end-user problems in support database, which is used by both Bayview's subsidiaries: the Asian Logic Limited (ALL) and Hong Kong-based ESL.
  • Suggested changes when the user interface was confusing or needed rewording. Programmers incorporated these changes.

The project is an ASP .NET web application designed to handle a complex retail store operation. It is built for high-volume retail enterprises and encompasses a range of activities, including the management of item information, category planning and review, assortment, pricing, promotions, warehouse replenishment, multi-channel ordering, store replenishment, forecasting and order determination. I am in charge in data gathering, creating/editing/maintaining technical documentations, UI design and managing the people behind this project.

Project Name: Globalmultistore Client: First Data (The Netherlands) Duration: May 2005 to January 2006 Role: Team member, Lead Technical Writer Team size: 3 Software and Platform: PHP4, MySQL, Microsoft Windows OS/Linux

The project involved development and set-up a web-based ecommerce software. Its main features are: easy web-based administration, real-time payments, shipping calculations and more.I was in charge in creating technical documentations for both technical and end-users, such as “How to” manual, System Requirements documentation, Project Proposal, brochures and web contents.In addition, I have created various types of design templates for the application using Microsoft FrontPage and Flash MX for animations.

The MicroPOS software replaces conventional cash registers with a complete business management system.It uses touch screen PC and support hardware like barcode scanners, receipt printers, cash drawers, electronic scales and many others. This is a store-level management application, which provides in-store and back-office functions such as reporting, time and attendance, file maintenance, cash management, label and sign printing.I am in charge in creating all technical documentations, presentations and proposals in this project.

The project is to create an informational website about ISAP’s telecommunication solutions and services to help its clients all around Europe (and eventually introduce it to the Philippines) that range from small to large scale companies to optimize their performance rapidly by advancing networking environment. I was in charge of all the website’s layout design and contents.In addition, I also created the marketing materials needed to promote VoIP and wire broadband modem line of products which are: Promotional Brochures, Advertisements, PowerPoint presentations, catalogs, and other pre-sale literature.

Project Name: On-line File Transfer and Reporting Facility Client: Anti-Money Laundering Council, Central Bank of the Philippines (Manila, Philippines) Duration: October 2004 to February 2005 Role: Team leader Team size: 3 Software and Platform: NT, SQL Server, IIS, Apache Tomcat, Java, Oracle The project involved development and set-up a web-based File Transfer and Uploading Facility system for AMLC to be used by all BSP registered banks. I did the requirement gathering, specification, and design of the system. Also, I managed the 2 junior staff under me in the implementation including doing some of the implementation and coordinating with them regarding the user interface design which I also made. Project Name: ETL/BI Query and Reports Client: -Money Laundering Council, Central Bank of the Philippines (Manila, Philippines) Duration: October 2004 to February 2005 Role: Team leader Team size: 5 Software and Platform: NT, SQL Server, IIS, Apache Tomcat, Java, Oracle, Hummingbird Genio and BI The project involved development and customization of ETL (Extract Transform and Load) system using Hummingbird ETL software.
