CIHT MCIHT No. 77908 Southend Borough Council was one of the Cycling Demonstration Towns and had a three year programme to deliver the infrastructure and the soft measures programme. Appointed Programme Manager and was tasked with the programme delivery. Created works programme; monitored progress against project plans; managed project financials; procurement of equipment; coordination of multidisciplinary teams and management of cycling instructors. Achieved an 11% increase in cycling numbers and ensured full utilisation of the funding.

Birmingham, UK Worked as a Graduate Consultant on various traffic engineering schemes. Analysed, drew and modelled priority and signalised junctions, mini and standard roundabout junctions. Modelled existing and proposed options with VISSIM micro-simulation software. Validated of existing models and produced evaluation reports. Carried out preparation of traffic engineering studies, data collection, produced reports and documents for work undertaken. Data analysis, sensitivity testing and junction design. Production of detailed traffic engineering drawings using AutoCAD according to the DMRB standards. Modelled the junctions using LINSIG.

Doha, Qatar(On Secondment from ATKINS) Produced technical reports examining the transport impact for the Qatar National Exhibition Centre and the North Crescent of Durrat Al Bahrain. Estimated the development generated traffic using the local standards. Used SYNCHRO to model the impact of the generating traffic, designed and proposed the most appropriate junction layout. Reviewing transport modelling, trip generation and distribution. Ensure accuracy and assess the impact of the development on the network and ensure that sufficient parking is provided. Consider the development accessibility by all users especially for vulnerable road users. Examine the junction and parking design to ensure that it meets national guidelines and safety standards. This is done by applying my extensive personal knowledge in junction analysis design as well as carrying out Road Safety Audits. Commission work to WCC consultant and liaise with them to ensure the work is carried out on time and to our specification, requirements and agreed budget.
