Carried out accident analysis and developed mitigation measures, designed signalised junctions, roundabouts, mini roundabouts and priority junctions using AutoCAD. Redesigned existing parking arrangements to maximise the parking spaces. Worked with landscape architect and developed a shared space scheme. Organised and attended stakeholder and public consultation events, liaised with public to answer scheme queries. Developed, set up, analysed questionnaire and identified any objections and assessed alternatives. Commissioned consultants to carry out safety audits; VISSIM modelling and quality audits. Then evaluated the reports and amended design to according to the recommendations. Even through the scheme design was carried out with minimal construction cost in mind I had to think of new cost saving measures until the scheme cost was aligned with the budget. Proposed and achieved the installation of new technology such as countdown timers although originally opposed by management as I strongly believed it would be beneficial to the public. Owner
