 Responsible for a national network of 20 independent reps that required extensive traveling as the "subject matter expert" and to help close sales while maintaining customer loyalty and service.  During the first nine months company sales grew by 35% - 40%.  During that same time several distribution contracts were signed for a new product line that are valued at over $500k annually in new revenues.

 With sales "flat-lined" for the past 7 years, George was hired to get the company back on track again.  During this time the company experienced an 8% growth in year one.  10% of that growth came through the restructuring of contracts and additional services introduced to the top three customers.

Reported to CEO/Chairman of the Board with "dotted" line to President of a start-up International management consulting firm specializing in implementing strategies to improve profitability in both the manufacturing and services industry using Lean Manufacturing and TPS.  

George had responsibility  for an international team of telemarketers, business development, marketing and account executives .  During this time, the company grew by double-digits four consecutive years in a roll from $0 - $3 million while providing impressive results for its clients.  The President called George a "rain maker" with the CEO calling him a "pit bull" for his tenacity and determination. 

Seeing the need to expand the client portfolio from industrial manufacturing, George sold the first company Lean Healthcare project at a hospital outside of Melbourne Australia.  That project resulted in over $2 million (AUD) savings for the hospital and helped reduced patient wait time by 52%.  Leveraging the success of this project into a case study led to additional opportunities using the Lean Manufacturing approach in healthcare.

After seeing the need to help reduce healthcare cost, I created Integrated Delivery System (IDS) for hospitals, physicians, managed care, sub acute/LTC organizations.  The mission of the company was to "bridge" the continuum of healthcare disciples for a common cause....reduce hospital length of stays (LOS) by specific DRG's.  Under some DRG's the hospital LOS was reduced by one day by moving patients to either home care, subacute or long-term care.
