Bio Summary

Evening Wear Designer

In the age of name identification and personal marketing, Geoffrey Reed is respected and highly regarded for his business sense as well as for his sophisticated and glamorous fashion designs. Relocating to New York City in 1995, Reed had no trouble validating his talent by demonstrating a true artist sensibility to good-taste, exotic detail, and exciting elegant results. Quick to assimilate into the social circles of the city his talent did not go unnoticed in high places when in 1996 he won a national design contest to image a Hollywood movie project slated to star supermodel 'Niki Taylor.' Although the project never materialized, Reed's mystic vision stood out among 600 other professional and aspiring designers which provided an understanding of timeless tailoring, fabrication and style that set this fashion visionary apart.

Undaunted, but still too inexperienced to know better Reed's talent seemed to superseded his confidence as he unwittingly sidestepped a major opportunitiy to become a design trainee with the design team of 'Carolina Herrera.' Although other opportunities quickly ensued Reed remained temporarily undisciplined to industry protocol and accepted a more practical approach as executive assistant to a trio of famed producers on the Broadway strip, which only widened his social scope. After a two year successful Broadway stretch, Reed was back on Seventh Avenue acting as an executive assistant for a Senior VP at 'Calvin Klein, Inc., (menswear division.) Bearing many references to his early industry training he later made the lateral move to Giorgio Armani, Inc., as a showroom sales assistant where he learned the innovative treatment of public relations, merchandising, and fashion forecast that predicts the trends set by the highest standards in the fashion industry. Although other less fullfilling industry positions followed Reed craved to sustain his own predilections for high glamour until an unforeseen family crisis demanded his attention.

Today, Geoffrey Reed is known to be an exacting and innovative free-spirit with extraordinary gifts who is pursuing his own true passion and theatrical identity which has always reflected his grand passion for elegant and opulent clothing.
