  • Oversee editorial and production for NOAA’s homepage as well as the agency’s 10 social media properties, notably: (~91 million visits/year), @NOAA Twitter (476,000+ followers), @NOAA Facebook (468,000+). Initiated the agency’s first Instagram channel in 2013 (248,000+), one of the first five federal agencies to do so. Partnered with Twitter to launch NOAA as founding member of Twitter Alerts program.
  • Significantly expanded NOAA’s reach through social media. The @NOAA Twitter community increased by 33% in 2015 over 2014; NOAA Facebook by 44% and NOAA Instagram by 308%.
  • Co-led extensive $500K+ overhaul of to responsive, app-like mobile-first design launched February 2016. Created first-of-its-kind digital newsroom for NOAA headquarters. Built bridges between internal service providers,  branch communications offices, and leading stakeholders to adopt new digital strategy, new content products and infrastructure changes
  • Planned, executed integrated digital strategy for several high-profile national public affairs campaigns, including: National Severe Weather Preparedness Week, NOAA Hurricane Season Outlook, NOAA’s State of the Climate reports, joint White House science rollouts, NOAA/NASA satellite launches, Earth Day and more. Co-managed national rollout of NOAA-inspired 2014 Earth Day Stamp with U.S. Postal Service; 25 million stamps sold out in less than 5 months of first issue.
