Grant Writing

Educational:

Project ET (Educational Teamwork) was designed to engage parents in student learning by contracting an educational consultant to provide in-service training to parents to provide them with tools to help their students enhance skills through various strategies, including "hands on" activities.  Funded through an International Paper Company grant.

Judicial:

Seventh Judicial District of Louisiana Drug Court funded through the Department of Justice, Office of Juvenile Justice to implement a Drug Court for the purpose of providing effective means of diversion for first offense drug crimes.  Coordinated training and interaction among judicial key personnel, including the District Judge, District DA, Sheriff's Office and Indigent Defender's Office.

Event Planning

Concordia Parish Reading Conference planned and held to provide Concordia Parish administrators and key reading personnel with skills to enhance school-based reading programs.

LEARN Reading Conference coordinated and implemented to provide administrators and key reading personnel from and eight-parish Louisiana region with knowledge and skills to implement system-wide and school-based reading enhancement programs.

Macon Ridge EDRI Job Fair planned, coordinated, and implemented to provide job search information for seniors from a five-parish Louisiana region.  Opportunities were provided for employer networking, career motivation, and assessment of skills.

Macon Ridge EDRI Educational Grant-Writing Workshop planned and implemented to provide interested educators from a five-parish Louisiana region with skills for sourcing and seeking grant funding to enhance educational programs.

Macon Ridge EDRI Justice Summit planned, coordinated, and implemented to provide key judicial personnel from a twelve-parish Louisiana region with information regarding successful justice programs and grant-writing skills for sourcing and seeking funding for these programs.
