Responsible for overseeing, developing, promoting, implementing, administering, and maintaining Client-wide HSE management systems based on the integration and adaptation of recognized HSE management systems criteria;
•Initiates, oversees or develops training programs, policies, workplace procedures and guidelines related to HSE management systems issues
•Develops practical solutions to resolve departmental HSE non-conformance issues and recommends courses of action
•Develops assessment mechanisms for regular reports on HSE management systems issues for clients and writes reports and recommendations for enhancements or changes to existing systems.
•Tracks and evaluates changes to applicable HSE legislation and emerging issues/trends in HSE management systems concepts and occupational hygiene, and analyses and communicates the impacts to affected clients;
•Provides consultative, mediation and investigative skills to Clients on all aspects of HSE management systems and occupational hygiene;
•Takes the lead role in ensuring effective processes for responding to workplace incidents and accidents are in place, and conducts accident investigations of particularly serious accidents;
•Advises on the application for any regulatory variances required by the Clients;
•Stays up to date with changes to applicable HSE legislation and emerging issues/trends in HSE management systems concepts, and analyses and communicates the impacts to affected clients
•Supervises, trains, coaches, and conducts performance reviews of a HSE Associate in all aspects of their duties;
•Participates in the HSE emergency response program;
•Acts as a technical resource for the HSE Department;
•As directed by the Associate Director, conducts special projects on HSE issues and carries out additional duties as necessary.
