The systems uses a PPP dial-up account, software on the PC such as Chameleon, Trumpet Winsock or the Windows 95 dial-up to establish a connection and a 3270 emulation package such as IRMA for the Mainframe or Extra. System was also used to retrieve e-mail from the Novell environment using LAN Workplace and the Netware Client. 
  • Responsible for configuring dial-up connections and writing small batch programs to automate the process. 
  • Helped users with questions or problems encountered during and after installation, many times after work hours.
