Work experience

Addmissions Clerk

Tippah County Hospital

This is a new job. It is almost the same thing that I do at Magnolia, like putting in doctors orders, but it is also more. I have to register patients and get all of the contact information and insurance information.

Med Clerk

My job ranges from many different things. I am the one that calls the doctors when they are needed, make sure all the correct paperwork is filled out before surgery or being transferred, put in all the lab work orders and any other orders that need to be done, EKG's and blood work, plus many other things that I must do throughout a shift.

Bachelor in Nursing

I have taken several computer classes. In my current job I am required to use the computer a lot. The skills that are used vary.
I have babysat many children. The ages range from just weeks old to teenagers. I have also babysat autistic children. I love children and am glad that I can help out.
Drawing blood from all age groups.

I have worked at Magnolia Regional Healthcenter since I was seventeen years old. I started working there through co-op my senior year. I love it. I have always known that I wanted to be a nurse. Working there has really proved to me that it is my true calling. I transferred to the Emergency Room almost a year after I started working there. An ER nurse is what I think I am destined to be. I love the adrenaline and the excitement. The look on faces when you help them. It is such a rush and knowing that you are helping save a persons life is the best feeling in the world. I love people and being around people. No matter how bad a day can be, just knowing what you are doing for someone and their family makes it a wonderful day.

I have interests in many different things. I love to read novels. I like to swim, play soft ball, ride horses and help as many people as I can.
