Waitress/ Hostess/ Delivery Driver

Golden Dragon Cafe

At Golden Dragon Cafe, I worked as a waitress, hostess and a delivery driver depending on the schedule and the number of employees working.  I learned how to communicate with a variety of personality types and experienced several different cultures.  Working at a small restraunant better abled me to work in a team toward a common goal, pleasing the customer.

Besides my interests in telling the stories of others and communicating what is happening around us to others I have several interests and hobbies.

  • Performing Arts- I love to perform.  I was a member of the dance team in high school for two years because it was a fun way for me to release my stress in a physical activity that constantly changed its routine.  I also played the french horn for eight years through junior high and high school. Even though I played for almost a decade I could still improve my skills and that is what I loved about it.  I also enjoy the theatre.  I have been in a few productions at the community theatre in my hometown, Elk City.  I don't have the time to devote to acting with my studies but I do attend a few plays that OSU Theatre Department puts on during the school year.
