About Me

Hello and thank you for your time.

I have a passion for the communications field and look for opportunities in Government Relations, Community Relations and Media Relations.  Communications is the basis of everything we do on a daily basis and when executed effectively it can be a powerful tool for any person or organization.

I am a recent alumnus from Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations.  I am a member of the PRSA, VCU Alumni Association and alumni of Alpha Kappa Lambda Fraternity, where I held various positions which included Class Vice President, Intramurals and Socials Chair. In my Fraternity, I coordinated and assisted in organizing events of up to 300 volunteers.  Also, I have been working with Comcast Corporation since 2000 while graduating with my associate’s degree from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College in Social Science in May 2005.

I have experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, examples have been provided of my past work.  A personal favorite was the poster used to promote an event for the band, Random Play.  Also, I have experience in using all types of social media and encourage all organizations to use these tools to reach their publics.  I'm also extremely knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and have begun experimenting with freelance photography, and video editing and creation.

In August of 2009, I was fortunate enough to intern for Governor Bob McDonnell during his campaign. There I was assigned to communicate Bob McDonnell’s policy plans and initiatives for his campaign to our constituents, among other tasks. In 2007, I became an honor graduate in Effective Supervision provided by Jones/NCTI and and recently graduated from Future Leaders of Comcast program at Comcast University in Manassas, Va.

Please take moment to look over my portfolio.  I appreciate your time and look forward to hearing from you soon.
