“I was part of Gary's group during a large part of his time at PepsiCo. Gary was an inspirational leader and manager and his drive for results instilled a level of perfection throughout his team - this was proven by the quality, value and timely delivery to his business partners. In all that he did, Gary was fully focussed on asking the question - what is the business value of what we are doing. By challenging his group in this way, the benefits our group provided had a significant impact on Pepsi's financial results. I later was able to work as a peer with Gary. We partnered on several large projects and devloped an application suite that provided critical tools and reporting to Pepsi's bottlers and executive management.”

“Gary worked directly for me in the 1990's. He was a smart technologist and a great leader. He managed large teams and complex projects. At all times, he treated his team with respect and always delivered his projects on time and on budget. What is most memorable about Gary is his ability to see the big picture. Although his position at the time was detail oriented, Gary did not get lost in the details. He drove towards the finish line keeping the business goals in mind. Gary was a stabilizing force during stressful times.”
