Responsibilities:

I started up a service in Kansas City that helps businesses & organizations sell of surplus inventory.  I got requests from referrals to sell merchandise for individuals that didn't know how to sell on eBay or didn't have time. My business grew to more clients than I could keep up with, so I started training working-from-home moms to sell online and I deal with the technical end of things as well as marketing to make sure I keep the business steady.

Key Achievements:

  • In 2007, I became the President of the Kansas City Profesessional Sellers ebay group.
  • The last 3 years my advertising budget has been $0.00 with all my business coming from referrals & free online marketing.
  • I have been able to literally help businesses & individuals pay their rent during bad times for them.

It is my responsibility to stay up-to-date on all the lastest social networking sites available & help my clients get the most exposure to their business or resume.  I am responsible to website development and marketing for my clients.

Key Achievements:

  • I was able to bring this website from concept to first paying customer within 2 weeks.
  • I have been able to recoup our ROI within the 1st month.
  • Website is so popular we have been asked to add a referral program for recruiters & headhunters.

Systems Engineer

Responsibilities:

I was the Senior Netbackup Administrator and had a secondary responsibility of the SAN. When I started there were 7 Senior level people on the team that I was fortunate enough to form great relationships with and get mentored from.  After 14 months of being at the company all 7 Senior members left and I was the most tenured team member remaining.  I was doing the work-load of multiple people as our team size was down to 3 people at one point. From a backup perspective I quickly rose the ladder due to my ability to pick-up things very quickly, and make positive relationships so there was open communication.  When the team lead left the company I stepped in as acting team lead while maintaining a solid record of successful projects. I was responsible for over 680 clients, 15 Master servers & 25 Media servers.at 15 locations which were of the following Operating Systems: Windows 2000 & 2003, Solaris 8, 9, 10, Linux, VMware, and AIX. Our team managed 313TB of disk storage in 5 locations which was hosted on Hitachi 9980, AMS 1000, USP Tagmastore 600 & NetApp.  We also managed Brocade 48k directors in a highly available dual fabric core edge design in 2 datacenters.  We also managed the STK tape libraries (9310, SL8500 & L700) using 9840 & LTO tapes via ACSLS.

  • Project Manager & Lead For Netbackup 5.1 to 6.0 Upgrade In 2 Locations.
  • Re-Architected & Standardized Entire Backup Infrastructure to reach SLA's on Production.
  • Project Manager & Lead For Netbackup 6.0 to 6.5 Upgrade in 2 Locations.
  • Project Manager & Lead For Shifting Non-Core Hours Monitoring of Backups to Operations.
  • Lead Architect For Implementing D2D2T Backups in 2 Locations.

Responsibilities:

I became and location manager for a satellite office that specialized in wide-format blueprint printing.  I was responsible for the staff of the location and making sure we scheduled correctly to handle workflow.  The logisitics of getting blueprints from customers & posted to our online plan room was also part of my responsiblity.

Key Achievements:

  • Assisted the General Manager in the logistics of moving the facilities location.
  • Lead on developing marketing plans to gain an 18% sales increase for the location.
  • Formed solid relationships with customers that  I still do business with today.

Responsibilities:

I started working as a buyer/planner, then was promoted to the Purchasing  Manager position, and my last position was as the Production Manager.  It was my responsibilty to develop and implement production tracking, analyzing production, and forecast production problems.  I would initiate and coordinate quality control issues and solutions for purchased items, WIP, and finished goods.  Locating vendors of materials and interviewing them in order to determine availability and terms of sales was also part of my job.

Key Achievements:

  • Review production orders to make decisions concerning inventory, labor, and time constraints.
  • Analyze pricing and engineering needs and find new potential outsourcing partners.
  • Purchase and expedite all parts needed for production, dealers, and end users.
  • Streamlined the manufacturing layout and workforce distribution to increase throughput.
  • Measure variance between forecast and actual costing, and implement corrective action.

Responsibilities:

It was my responsiblity to handle the master scheduling & production planning for all production lines.  Direct responsibility for two buyers, and all materials purchased for the location.

  • Co-headed MRP II system implementation & daily administration.
  • Project lead on implementing Kan-Bans to improve inventory turns.
  • Set-Up & trained employees on Lean Manufacturing throughout the facility.
