About Garick Zikan

An award-winning news reporter and anchor with more than two decades of experience, Garick Zikan most recently served as managing producer and news anchor for WCYB-TV in Bristol, Virginia. The station covered Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee. He began at the station as an overnight editor and quickly became a TV news reporter and news anchor. During his tenure at WCYB-TV, Garick Zikan was recognized as the highest-rated anchor in the market and honored with several awards for his work.

Garick Zikan began his career in journalism at KCAU-TV in Sioux City, Iowa, where he served as TV news weekend anchor and reporter for the ABC affiliate that covered parts of Iowa, South Dakota, and Nebraska. Prior to launching his career, he studied at Ithaca College, where he earned a BS in communications.

In addition to his work in media, Zikan has demonstrated active involvement in the community. He has emceed symphony concerts with the Symphony of the Mountains and served as a board member for Bristol Regional Speech and Hearing Center.
