Summary

I am a well-rounded interventional radiologist, comfortable performing a wide variety of minimally invasive procedures & clinically managing patients. I'm capable of thriving in a high-volume private practice, an academic training program, or a hybrid of both models. I prefer a collegial work environment to solitary practice, but have enjoyed success in a variety of professional settings (large academic institutions, small community hospitals, outpatient vascular access centers, & dedicated imaging facilities).

During my fellowship at Georgetown, I worked extensively with Society of Interventional Radiology president & pioneer in uterine fibroid embolization, Dr. James Spies, consequently achieving particular expertise in this area. Having trained at a high-volume liver transplant center, I'm also proficient in interventional oncology, hepatobiliary procedures, & treating portal hypertension. I'm currently the only interventionalist in Southeast Virginia performing thoracic duct embolization, enabling our patients to receive treatment locally (formerly transferred over 250 miles away) & our hospitals to retain previously lost revenue.

Although not formally neurointerventional trained, I have significant experience in cerebral angiography, stroke intervention, carotid artery stenting, kyphoplasty, epidural/intrathecal procedures, & regional nerve blockade. I'm confident that with appropriate support I could provide any or all of these services.

I am a strong interventionalist who brings solid clinical acumen, proficiency in diagnostic imaging, and a sound business sense. I work efficiently, but am accustomed to putting in long hours in pursuit of the best possible outcomes for my patients & the fiscal health of my practice.

In addition to my medical career, I have experience in engineering, education, research, & medical-legal consultancy (expert testimony). Please feel free to contact me to discuss professional opportunities.
