Performed qualitative and quantitative analysis on fuels, system waters, and environmental sites using methods of wet chemical and instrumental analysis.Operated laboratory and set goals for improvement.Conducted training of lab personnel and operators in all chemistry-related systems in power station.Supervised and trained Coal Yard Samplers to maintain ASTM sampling requirements.Monitored and evaluated environmental sights to ensure compliance with permit requirements (e.g. intakes, discharges, monitoring wells, settling ponds, and waste treatment ponds).Assisted the environmental coordinator and assumed position’s duties when coordinator was away from power station.Evaluated current environmental permits and negotiated specifications for new permits.Monitored and evaluated all station water treatment facilities to maintain optimal performance.Monitored chemical cleaning of boiler systems equipment and supervised waste disposal.
