Responsible for the financial turnaround, facilities development and successful marketing of a large, historically and culturally significant tourism destination. Developed and implemented a comprehensive marketing plan featuring print, broadcast, and online promotion, public relations, community outreach. Created partnerships with regional, provincial and national tourism stakeholders, and participated in national and international trade shows. Created new products and programs that increased revenues while reducing operational costs. Applied for, received and administered the largest tourism development grant in the province’s history. Supervised and trained department managers and large seasonal staff. Achieved 900% increase in park visitation, a 400% increase in occupancy and a 500% increase in gross revenues over four years.
