My name is Mary Theodosiadou and I am a professional, self-employed translator since 2003. In addition to my personal clients, I have an external, long-term collaboration with ATTIMEDIA Hellas, an accredited translation Bureau for the bodies of the European Union. Since January 2006, I've undertaken translation work related to European Affairs, from English and French into Greek (2000 standard pages up to now). As part of my collaboration with ORCO SA, a leading Translation and Localization provider in Athens, I worked for IBM Hellas on a localization project for 3 months (May-August 2008) and since then I continue my collaboration with ORCO as an external translator. I also undertake occasional translation work for TRANSLAB Hellas, a Greek translation and localization company. From September 2005 to February 2006 I worked as an evaluator of student translations of the Distance Learning Course at Athens Metropolitan College. From June to October 2004, I worked as a Language Services Center Venue Manager during the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games. I completed my translation internship at the Press Office of the Permanent Representation of Grece to the Council of Europe (Strasbourg).
