Erik is accountable for the availability of internal applications and infrastructure, serving the Worldwide organisation with the exception of the United Kingdom.  His role is to deliver 24 x 7 access to all back-office infrastructure using a secured method which ensures data confidentiality to all employees of the organisation. 

He is also responsible for the world wide network, connecting the datacenters, 11 in total, and more then 30 offices located in all regions of the world.  In this part of the job, he's also facing customers for their connectivity to the datacenter.

A third component of the job, is the management and coordination of the activities in the datacenters world wide.  These centers are owned by a third party but managed by his team.

These different activities also require the management of different budgets, which needs a close follow up and prioritisation on the level of OPEX and CAPEX projects in line with the business needs and expectations.
