I am a strong believer in the power of networking and volunteering. I provide career teaching through Mariners Church and am involved with several major networking groups in LA and Orange County. I am very happy to meet fellow LinkedIn members who are in transition for coffee so we can see how we might help one another. I am also a strong believer in the ToastMasters organization as a vehicle for people who would like to improve how they speak and market themselves. As a Area Governor for ToastMasters in Irvine, I would be happy to help people connect with a club in the Orange County area. Toastmasters is a great vehicle for working on your eye contact, body language, adhoc speaking (elevator speech) and formal speeches i.e., all those skills you need to demonstrate while you are in transition.
