I currently work with students who are on the Autism spectrum in the Puna district.

I was hired by Bayada in August 2012. I subbed for Bayada until I was assigned a student in October at Keaau Middle School. I resigned from subbing for Headstart at this time.

  • I worked in both SPED and General Ed Classes.
  • I worked one on one with students to meet their IEP goals or class assignments.
  • I did administrative tasks, researched and implimented projects to enrich curriculum.
  • Helped maintain classroom control and focus.

Central Union Preschool celebrated it's 80th birthday in 2009.  Our program recognizes the individual and cultural uniqueness of each child, and the importance of engaging the whole child in learning experiences that are stimulating and engaging.  The schools highly qualified teachers involve young children with a variety of teaching strategies designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. Central Union uses a combination of Creative Curriculum and Montessori curriculum.
