In partnership with customers, they are accelerating the rate of change in the DoD’s transformation to Net-Centric Warfare and progressing America’s capability for total Information Dominance. I am advising the CEO on a range of strategic issues including refocusing the company's value proposition, improving its sales force and building an advisory board to drive business development.

Dream Walk: Parables for the Living
This is a book about dreaming and thinking - authenticity and inauthenticity. The first section - Dream Walking - relates an extended conversation between Raven and Wolverine. Their talk comes about as a result of an experience that Wolverine has had with Thrush. Wolverine’s question to Raven is actually Thrush’s question to Wolverine. But, as you will no doubt find, the question is different for each of them - as it is different for Raven. The question at the end of the section, however, is only for the reader. The second section - Dream Food - is a collection of ‘dreaming’ pieces. Each short chapter ends with a question. Although most of the questions appear rather simple, I assure you that they are not. They are the dreaming pieces of the dreaming pieces. The more time you spend with them, the richer your dreams will become.

They have a 20-year legacy in assessing, formulating and deploying Data Processing, Communications, and Networking infrastructures with secure quick-response solutions, customized applications development, and professional IT services worldwide. Their engineers and specialists satisfy technical, logistical and training missions vital to the Department of Defense (DOD) and the United States interests abroad. CNS maintained facilities in Rockville, Maryland and Springfield, Virginia. I built a new management team for the company, helped it to relocate its offices to McLean Virginia and re-launch based on a new value proposition.

Summary

I am a serial entrepreneur, political and social theorist, published author and speaker. A veteran of Wall Street, I have served as CEO/Senior Partner for all of the companies which I founded. I provide strategic advisory services in the areas of business development of business, turn-around plans, strategic planning, team development and augmentation, merger and acquisition strategies, and leadership and management style. Through my network of strategic partnerships and associations, I bring together tailor-made teams to advise clients on a wide range of complex issues.

Much of my work is with investors - both angel and venture capitalists. I specialize in improving results for under-performing companies and corporate divisions. I build management teams, sales teams and Advisory Boards as business development engines. Most of my work is with investors who are realizing poorer results than expected. I have also worked with management teams looking to buy out the existing owners and with investors looking to sell or merge a portfolio company.

My experience includes designing and organizing companies, business/technology management, team building, strategic alliances, negotiating complex arrangements, governance & compliance, resourcing & financing, mergers & acquisitions, management/team/board assessment, coaching and strategic and tactical planning and implementation. I serve on boards of directors and advisory boards, as well as in interim senior management positions.

Objective

Two of my very favorite engagements are helping others build their business and building teams that accomplish great things. Some of my most rewarding experiences have been creating opportunities for highly motivated people and watching them enjoy successes that they never thought they might.

I work as a senior adviser to investors and CEOs because I believe that hard problems can be solved – it’s just a matter of finding the right approach, resources and team to solve them. When it comes to overcoming tough challenges, there is no substitute for experience and proven judgment. I have worked with investors and CEOs that were stuck – unable to find a way forward. Once the way is cleared, watching them succeed is a real ‘Rocky Mountain High’!

I build advisory boards as business development engines because I discovered that they are by far the best way to drive the gross revenue of a company. I built the first ones for my own companies. My book, Amazing Pace: Turbocharged Business Development describes these boards.
