About Fred Turner

A longtime political and policy expert, Fred Turner holds is chief of staff with US Senator Bob Menendez. Guiding more than 50 employees and administering a $3.4 million budget, he oversees operations spanning Senate offices in New Jersey and Washington, DC. Fred Turner’s range of responsibilities include managing casework, legislative agendas, and outreach activities.

Setting in place Bob Menendez’s policy agenda, Mr. Turner has enabled its implementation through forging agreements with state political leaders, as well as with other offices of members of the House and Senate. He provides recommendations that take into consideration the political and legislative consequences of speeches and votes.

Mr. Turner previously served as chief of staff of the US Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe. Based in Washington DC, he guided operations of an independent federal agency for seven years and was the Commission chairman’s senior advisor. Fred Turner was the principle contact with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, which encompasses 57 participating nations.
