Through clinical experience for the Weatherford College nursing program at various hospitals in the Fort Worth Texas area and working as a PCT/CNA for Santa Fe Trails Assisted Living Facility I have acquired and learned many skills. I have learned to give bed baths, assist in patient hygiene and grooming including oral care consisting of brusing teeth, dentures, and assessing the oral cavity for any abnormalities. I have learned to assist patients in showers and to give bed baths and perform perineal care. I am capable of erforming a head to toe assessment and reporting anything out of the ordinary or new. I assist petients with brushing their hair, getting dressed, transferring, and ambulating in a safe manor. I have leared how to perform catheter care and insert IV lines and practiced this skill successfully during clinical under the supervision of instructors and liscensed nurses. I have learned how to perform care on patients with wound dressings and trachs. I have a braod spectrum of skills that I fully intend to become very proficient at.

Objective

My goal as a nurse is to fulfill my commitment and provide the best possible care to patients and families. I intend to work alongside other coworkers,  physicians, and staff members to make the best threapuetic decisions to benefit all patients and families. Furthermore I intend to assist families and patients with coping strategies and provide any available resources to aid them with their needs.

Interest

My interest is focused providing patient and family care to the best of my ability. Therefore I have everyinterest in learning at every chance and practicing and perfecting my skills.
