The Nathan Hall Williams Center

The Nathan Hall Williams Center (NHWC) is based in Nakuru, Kenya and was founded in 2009. It is a community effort dedicated to improving the health, educational, and social status of the underprivileged members of the Nakuru community, specifically of people with disabilities. To advance this message, NHWC offers numerous outreach projects, educational services, and healthcare clinics where most needed. • Assisted with the organization of monthly mobile clinics and community outreach programs• Engaged with the local marginalized communities through home based initiatives and health programs • Collaborated with the Kenyan Ministry of Health, Ministry of Social Services & Gender, Ministry of Education on community health data analysis• Assisted with international grant research proposal for a community development building project

Our Home Nakuru

Our Home Nakuru is a community-based organization located in Nakuru, Kenya. It has now changed name and is called Our Roots Kenya.

ORK focuses on providing a safe home for neglected children in the community. Additionally, ORK runs programs meant to assist in the development of the Nakuru community, namely HIV/AIDS awareness workshops, a sports program for children in the slum of Giotto, and a business/internship program for outstanding graduates who are looking for work experience. Moreover, ORK also takes care of allocating resources to the maternity ward of a rural clinic in Nyamathi, near Naivasha. • Contributed to the allocation of resources towards maternal and child' s health for the maternity ward of a rural clinic (Nyamathi), in addition to working with volunteers towards the implementation of ante- and post-natal care programs• Collaborated with volunteers in the slums of London and Rhonda to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, encouraged the community to get tested and seek counselling, through community outreach programs and testing events• Planned fundraising initiatives and assisted in maintaining relationships with local and international donors• Coordinated a team of five volunteers

G(irls)20 Summit

The G(irls)20 Summit brings together one delegate from each G20 country, plus a representative from the European Union and the African Union. The delegates debate, discuss and design innovative ideas necessary to empower girls and women globally and present these to G20 Leaders. While the agenda is the same as the G20 leaders and focuses on economic innovation – the participants are all girls, aged 18-20.• Selected to participate in an international conference aimed at empowering girls and women• Attended skills building (leadership, business planning, communications, technology navigation) seminars• Co-drafted a communique’ that was then presented to the G 20 leaders
