Financial Assistance Analyst

State of New Mexico

Currently I am a Financial Assistance Analyst at  local private hospital. I am part of a 5 member outreach team contracted from the state Human Services Department to help low income patients secure medical assistance through various federal and privately funded sources. My position allows me to be in constant contact with a hospital network serving at more than 30 different locations throughout the state. I help administer over 15 programs funded by a combination of the state and federal government.

Site Supervisor

After graduating from UNM school of education I returned to my old home at the YMCA. I was an assistant site supervisor for the summer of 2007 and took over the site and its 8 employees when changes were made to management. I stayed here until the winter of 2007 when I left to work full time with my first love, golf.

Masters of Science

Lewis University

I attained my Bachelor's of Science in Education from the University of New Mexico College of Education. After graduation I decided to explore my carreer options and began working for the State of New Mexico as a Financial Assistance Analyst. I was lucky enough to be selected to be a part of the 5 person Medicaid outreach team located at Presbyterian and University of New Mexico Hospitals. Working at Presbyterian for over 2 years has been a wonderful experience and has reignited my drive to continue my education. In the fall of 2010 I began coursework for a Masters Degree in Information Security from Lewis University (Albuquerque). My desire to someday work in IT as a Penetration tester or Security Analyst has only grown with each class completed. After I complete my degree I look to gain my CISSP and have begun independently preparing for my CompTIA Security+ certification. I am a tremendously hard worker and would welcome any opportunity to expand my understanding of anything IT security and beyond.  On a personal note I enjoy golfing, fishing, camping and anything that requires nothing more than a sack lunch and bottle of water.

My main objective is to allow a potential employer to at a glance see both my work experience and education in one visually appealing environment. If after viewing you feel like I would be a good fit for your company feel free to email or call me. I appreciate the views and I wish you luck in selecting a candidate.
