I manage the plant of Huhtamaki Spain, with sales growing between 2005 and 2010 from 32.7M EUR to 42.9M EUR (+31%), and EBITDA increasing from 2.6M EUR to 3.8M EUR (+50%). I am responsible for Production, Supply Chain, Finance & Administration, Human Resources, Quality Management, Information Systems and New Product Development, and manage a budget of 31.7M EUR. My major achievements are:
·the transfer, integration and turnaround of the paper cup production from a German plant into Huhtamaki Spain, duplicating it’s size and introducing new product lines
·the increase of production capacity by 40% to meet increasing customer demand through investments, flexible working models, and continuous improvement;
·the reduction of customer quality complaints and non-quality costs by more than 60%;
·the implementation of a Lean 6 Sigma culture to accelerate savings and process improvement;
·the increase of the OTIF from 88% to 94% through a reengineering of the Supply Chain processes (forecast to delivery);
·the reduction of the accident rate by more than 90%;
·the improvement of the management skill level of the operations management team through an external coaching programme based on 360º evaluations;
certification for OSHAS 18001 in 2008 and FSC and PEFC Chain-of-Custody in 2009.
