GuruScan
GuruScan is a knowledge management system for medium/large scale organizations. By offering a wide range of services, it gives companies the ability to identify, clarify and categorize skills and expertise of their human resources. Responsibilities: • Requirements engineering and implementation of new features to the core of GuruScan • Customization of the service in terms of both front-end and back-end to ensure that the product fulfill all aspects of each customers needs. This task covers a range of activities from integration of GuruScan into existing intranets of the customers to adding new features based on need of customers. The recent example would be adding additional security measures to the system in order to satisfy the strict security requirements of one of our customers (ABN AMRO). • Reduction of complexity and deteriorating structure by rebuilding the system. This task requires the definition and implementation of a concrete migration plan. Current major programming languages, methods and techniques: Java, JavaScript, PrototypeJS, Spring Framework, Hibernate, PostgreSQL To handle the high performance demands the following techniques are used as well: jquery(RIA), websocktes, CouchDB on top of EC2.
