After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Citizenship from UNM in 1961, F. Chris Garcia would go on to attend the UNM Master’s program for Government and secondary education from 1961 to 1964.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.)

University of California, Davis
He spent one year at UCLA studying Political Science and Government before going to the University of California, Davis to pursue a Ph. D. in American Government and Politics.
