Explaining the exercise program that you have prepared to the client. Demonstrating and teaching the exercises to the client and providing feedback on technique. Abiding by all personal trainer policies. Being punctual and prepared for all appointments with clients or professional staff. Attending mandatory and optional staff training classes Being a responder in the event of an emergency Being comfortable using and demonstrating all the equipment Assess the needs and capabilities of individuals through fitness assessment procedures. Advise individuals on the correct method and use of exercise machines and devices including weights. Develop individual exercise programs for individuals based on age and fitness levels. Provide instruction in a variety of fitness activities including non-gym related activities. Motivate clients to work to his/her maximum and safe potential for the entire workout. Assure all exercises are done with proper form and technique maximizing results. Help clients develop realistic, attainable goals and continually modifying training objectives Ensure Total customer satisfaction Set realistic short-term and long-term goals and plan programs for reaching them Educate, motivate and coach clients to help them follow their programs safely and effectively Give clients advice on health, nutrition and lifestyle changes Help clients with their workouts Check and record clients' progress, using methods such as measuring heart rate and body fat levels Provides guidance in proper exercise technique and variations of exercises to meet goals Assists member-clients in establishing effective fitness/wellness goals and develops the most effective training plan to achieve those goals Offers accurate and up-to-date information and advice on fitness Motivates clients and serves as a training partner Maintains a safe and clean exercise environment Follows all quality assurance and other policies and procedures of the Fitness Center Maintains all required certifications Adjust schedule as needed to accommodate the needs of new existing member-clients, current available hours require afternoons, evenings and some weekends.
