An experienced commercial real estate developer based in Chicago, Evan Oliff currently serves as President of Preferred Development, Inc. Since establishing the firm in 1992, he has spearheaded a number of major development projects throughout the Midwest. Evan Oliff’s experience includes developing urban mixed-use properties, commercial office complexes, high-end commercial real estate, retirement communities, and shopping centers. Notably recognized as the preferred developer for Walgreens, he has developed 50 Walgreens Stores across four states. Mr. Oliff is a Certified Commercial Investment Member. Educated at the University of Iowa, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Operations Management. While completing his degree, he gained early business management experience by owning and operating a company that specialized in sports management. Mr. Oliff went on to earn his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance at Loyola University, in Chicago.Early in his career in the real estate industry, Evan Oliff joined Fuller Commercial Real Estate in Chicago. Serving as an Assistant Acquisitions Director, he worked closely with a senior commercial broker on industrial projects in the greater Chicago area. Mr. Oliff’s early career history also includes serving as Vice President of Investment Sales for the family-owned real estate firm, Benjamin Sherman & Sons. A longtime resident of the Chicago area, Evan Oliff currently lives in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. He is married with three daughters. In his personal life, he loves to participate in cycling competitions. Chicago Urban Bicycle Society recognized Mr. Oliff as Top Rookie Male for the RAGBRAI ride across Iowa; he has participated in the 475-mile race for four years.
