Welcome to my online CV

I am a marketing student who has taken on various roles to develop relevant skills and knowledge. Completing three summer placements and a placement year during my course, I have worked on accounts including VISA and Apple Music.

Following my placement year, Saatchi & Saatchi offered me an internship where I worked with Account Managers and the PR Team to design the Annual Family Dinner Invite for clients. I then completed my summer with a placement at Social Chain where I became a content creator and contributed to several accounts, including Leicester City FC & Look Fantastic. I am an ambitious and intuitive person who is keen to continue learning and building upon this experience by applying my skills to new and exciting challenges.

Work experience


Content Creator

Social Chain

I took on a variety of roles during a summer internship including supporting the project lead to formulate creative concepts for Apple music into a campaign proposal. Monitored social media accounts for Campus Society as an online activation. Introduced a content strategy for Campus Society to grow a community of 2.2k followers in first four weeks.

Invited to continue working for the company whilst at University as a content creator for social media and continued development of the Campus Society strategy.



Saatchi & Saatchi

I secured a work placement at the global advertising house Saatchi & Saatchi. Reviewed a creative brief with Account Managers on the VISA Account and designed the Annual Family Dinner invite for clients. Established a knowledge of InDesign to achieve this successfully.


Channel Communications Specialist


At my placement year I took responsibility for managing a webinar programme for IBM Business Partners which connected specialists with clients to generate warm leads. Growing this programme through networking and promotion saw an increase in registrations of nearly 200% in 6 months. Organised and promoted several events including the annual Business Partner Channel ConnectED Summit in 2016. Established and directed a video blog series with VP of Partner Growth, Paul Brown.


New Business Intern

William Lawrence Advertising

Established connections with local businesses to promote William Lawrence Advertising and their offerings. Attended networking events and developed a B2B marketing approach to promote the company. 

Voluntary Work



Durham University

Durham University invited me to return to teach students how to apply for roles and understand the process of placement years. I delivered an interactive workshop to around 40 students and have since been contacted for 1:1 guidance with other students. Several of these students have since been offered placement years or are in the process of applying.


Long Term Volunteer 


Oxfam is, for me, one of the best companies to work for. Their passion for altruism astounds me, and I could not help but continue working for them for nearly 4 years. I volunteered my time every week to help organise and run the shop, and soon, I began training new recruits into the store. I loved every minute, and it was a fantastic introduction into the working world.

Esme’s success continued apace with the launch of the Seller Essentials community and it’s inclusion in ClientFirst, the creation of the first One Channel Executive and BP Executive video blogs, the creation of the first UKI One Channel GRP Events page, the publication of communications stats, redesign of the UKI Channel ConnectED PartnerWorld page, setting up our UKI One Channel Task ID – Esme has achieved a huge amount which has allowed the team to make great progress this past year.
