ARAMARK, St. Mary Mercy Livonia
  • Assessed patients at nutritional risk. Developed individualized care plans for all at-risk patients. Collaborated with food service employees to meet patient needs. Conducted bedside diet education.

Nutrition Consultant

Livelyte Medical Weight Management
  • Counseled patients one-on-one.   Assessed patients' nutritional status.  Designed personalized meal plans. 
  • Conducted monthly nutrition classes for patients.  Created a 16-class curriculum, including educational handouts, recipes, and in-class activities.  Instructed supplementary on-site cooking classes. 

Coordinator of Fitness Programs

Campus Recreation Services, University of Maryland College Park
  • Managed staff of up to 30 fitness instructors, including all hiring, scheduling, training & development, and evaluation.  Oversaw 60+ group fitness classes per week. Organized monthly fitness events, attended by up to 900 students, faculty, and staff.  Instructed 12-week Group Fitness Instructor Training Course.
  • Designed custom nutrition lectures for on-campus groups.  Authored series of nutrition blog posts for Wellness @ Maryland
  • Served on inaugural Farmers Market at Maryland Committee.  Operated information table weekly.  Coordinated promotions & fielded questions from patrons and vendors.  Managed educational tabling by on-campus health-and sustainability-related organizations.

Dietetic Intern

Dietetic Internship, University of Maryland College Park

Major accomplishments included:

  • Completed highly diverse internship rotations at 14 different sites with 20+ preceptors.  Developed a strong drive for success, ability to deal with change, and capacity to adapt to different standards.
    • Selected for abstract-poster presentation at Maryland Dietetic Association & District of Columbia Metropolitan Area Dietetic Association Annual Meetings. 

    • Achieved "Exceeds Expectations" ratings during pediatric weight management rotation at Children's National Medical Center.  Projects included: Nutrition workshop for FitFamily program.   

    • Authored multiple web-based articles & print newsletters and handouts for diverse audiences.  Experiences included: Eat Smart, Be Fit Maryland, International Food Information Council Foundation, and public K-12 & university food service.

  • Coordinated patient meal preparation & distribution, completed meal rounds, and updated meal service database.

Dietetic Student Volunteer

University Health Center, University of Maryland College Park
  • Utilized diet analysis software to analyze the diets of 1 to 3 UMCP students, faculty, and staff per week. Identified areas for improvement and worked with clients to set nutritional goals.
