A clinical counselor is given the ability to change lives one client at a time. I want that ability. I have a strong desire to become a pediatric clinical counselor because I want to make a difference in the lives of children. I am driven to make a positive impact on others and I strongly strive to enrich the lives of others.

My ultimate goal in life is to be a positive difference maker. I want to help improve the lives of others, whether that be something simple or large scale. Witnessing a client smile a little more often would be just as rewarding as helping a client free themselves of a symptom they are suffering from due to a disorder. I want to help others find the positivity in life, despite their circumstances. I want to help change people’s perspectives. I believe that becoming a counselor is the best way for me to accomplish this goal. I believe that a counselor is one of the most influential people in a person’s life. Becoming a counselor is one of the best ways for me to give back to my society, and to enhance the world in a way that adds positivity and self- empowerment.
