Owner and Director

PLR Consultancy

PLR Consultancy focuses on delivering services to the Education sector. Its main area of business is improving the logistics in education ("onderwijslogistiek"), which is in fact a version of BPR, with the goals and missions of educational institutions in mind.

As senior consultant I'm involved in projects at Tilburg University and Maastricht University. At the Hogeschool van Amsterdam, University of Applied Sciences (HvA), I delivered several trainings and am currently working on a proposal to commence the work on building interfaces between the Student Record System and scheduling software. All three evolve around improving processes and internal selling of proposed solutions and proposed changes. Furthermore they touch various parts of the institution's business and involve working with different teams. As the senior project manager in Tilburg and Maastricht I have to manage different teams and people, while at the same time ensuring that the external supplier of the scheduling software involved delivers on time.

Summary

I studied Management & Organisation at the University of Groningen and my final research project was to do with the use of IT in educational institutions. Since then I have gained over 10 years experience in the Public and Education Sector. I have an excellent track record in delivering and selling solutions to customers and opening new markets. In my various roles I was personally responsible for growing the number of Scientia Ltd. customers in the Netherlands from 3 to 21 (i.e. more than 70% of Dutch Universities and more than 50% of HE Colleges are now Scientia customers). I have always combined selling and managing implementations. This allowed me to build good customer relations and gain further experience in changing business processes that come with implementing resource optimisation solutions.

Running my own company I have managed to show that, despite the current economical downturn, I can grow the business by providing excellent services and going the extra mile.

I'm self-motivated, professional, enthusiastic, a team player and have a 'can do' attitude. With over 10 years of experience in the education sector I have seen the sector from various perspectives. I have held different roles: scheduling coordinator, trainer, implementation consultant, sales manager and project manager. This gives me unique knowledge and excellent contacts.
