Based in Illinois, he currently assists squads at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire. Erik Jensen also oversees a special education classroom at Lutherbrook Academy, where he guides students with special needs. Concurrently, he serves as Supervisor of Athletics for the private school.Previously, Erik Jensen coached football and wrestling at Grayslake North High School. He also taught at the secondary school. In combination with his multiple academic degrees, the experiences prepared him for his current roles.Before joining Grayslake North, Erik Jensen earned an Associate of Arts from the College of DuPage in Glen Ellyn. He went on to enroll in Western Illinois University in Macomb to complete a Bachelor’s degree, and subsequently, he earned a Master’s degree in Teaching at National Louis University in Wheeling. The latter studies readied him for working with students with special needs. Last year, Erik Jensen returned to a college environment at Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, when he completed the requirements to become a drivers’ education instructor. He also continues to pursue a Master’s degree in School Leadership from Concordia University in Chicago. He expects to finish these classes in 2013.Erik Jensen spent his high school years in Illinois, where he attended Glenbard West. As a student, he participated on the football team and wrestling squad. He draws on these experiences in his present position as a coach to players. Today, he enjoys fishing in his spare time and supports Lutheran Child and Family Services of Illinois in his charitable efforts.
