Team Lead

Standard Retirement Services

I worked my way into the management position by having the most knowledge of the daily processes and being the go-to person when the manager was out or busy. While were using Excel sheets for our reconciliation, I talked with the regional manager and suggested to convert the Excel sheets to a database format to resolve access conflicts, unauthorized changes, and standardized terminology. He gave me the go-ahead to make a prototype in access. The prototype was a success and all other regional offices adopted the database as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of 8 people in daily reconciliation of cash and stock fund balances.
  • Review daily work for each person and resolve issues.
  • Create a custom database and interface to be used company wide for more than 100 people for reconciliation.
  • Create ASP web reports for company wide access of more than 2000 people.
