From 2004 to 2011 I worked closely with cognitively disabled/multi-handicapped children and youths with an excessive need for general nursing, organizing and planning. I have worked extensively on patients with a wide variety of diagnosis and medical needs. These include: Epilepsy, ADHD, Lowe's Syndrome, Down Syndrome, Diabetes Insipidus, Autism, Cerebral Pareses, Depressions, Psychosis etc. My job also involved a multitude of communicative duties as well which included meetings with parents, school personnel, psychiatrists, physicians, supervisors, physiotherapists, activity center workers etc.

From 1997 to 2000 I was employed as a Vocational Worker at a highly acclaimed Upper Secondary School in western Norway. I was fully responsible for the daily care and for a number of activities relating to a multi-handicapped student, from the moment he awakened in the morning until his school day was over. My duties included but were not limited to the following: medications, meals, hygiene, activities, physical training, music therapy, bathing, transportation etc. My job also involved a number of coordination duties, between school and home, school and transportation, school and physiotherapy, school and music therapy, school and tutoring etc.
