About Eric Becoats

An accomplished professional educator and academic administrator, Eric Becoats has served as the chief administrative officer of Guilford County Schools in Greensboro, North Carolina, and as an adjunct professor with the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University’s School of Education. He has also served as a consultant, providing executive-level support to the president and chief executive officer of Atlantic Research Partners in Chicago, Illinois. Since July 2015, Eric Becoats has served as an assistant superintendent with the School District of Philadelphia.

Eric Becoats simultaneously presides over the Becoats Foundation as chief executive officer. Since founding the nonprofit organization in 2013, he has worked to promote positive youth development through a variety of outreach and empowerment programs. Placing a particular emphasis on assisting young men of color, the foundation provides community-level support in the fields of identity building, literacy, health awareness, cooperative agriculture, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) training.
