Work experience

Dock Host

Vancouver Marina (1971)

In my four years at Vancouver Marina my job responsibilities have increased from basic customer service to include more complex duties. In addition to point-of-service sales and general reception work, I currently create contracts and payment plans for customers, order and receive merchandise, train new employees, maintain the company's social media sites, and plan marina events. My work environment is often fast paced and stressful, requiring me to manage several tasks simultaneously.

B.A. in Political Science

University of British Columbia

In my 5 years at UBC I took courses in multiple areas of political science, including statistics, local government, BC politics, federalism, and elections. I graduated in Spring 2015 with a 3.9 GPA.

Volunteer Work

UBC QUidditch

While attending UBC I volunteered 10 hours per week as an executive member of the UBC Quidditch Club. From 2013-2015 I served as Vice President and Captain, including several months as acting President. During this time the club more than doubled in size, raised thousands of dollars for equipment and travel costs, and transitioned from a casual group of players to competing at the highest level of the sport in 2015.
